Why check a surgical estimate item by item?
An estimate for surgery alone covers a different scope from one that includes tests, anesthesia, admission and follow-up. Clarify the diagnosis and proposed procedure first, then ask which items are included.
Can I use my insurance for treatment abroad?
Tell your insurer where and what treatment you are considering. Ask about coverage, prior approval and the documents needed. The hospital’s estimate and the insurer’s payment decision are separate.
Can I arrange a consultation in English or Chinese?
